All is alive and well in Northern California!

July 28, 2010

Three members of the Terra-Petra team took a two-day trip up to Walnut Creek last week to attend our one day technical conference/seminar on “Geosynthetic Materials”and how they are used effectively.  The conference was very technical, and was found to be a valuable source of information for our team.

We’re always looking for continuous education to stay current in our field.  On our way up, we stopped off in Larkspur (Northern California – Marin County about 15 minutes north of San Francisco) to visit a job site that we started on a few weeks ago. The Twin Cities Police Headquarters (the project now under construction) is built over a landfill and requires special “vapor intrusion” design and inspection work.  The primary contractor is  just up the 101 in Santa Rosa (about 20 minutes north of Larkspur) so we took  the time to spend an evening with them to discuss this project, as well as other potential projects that are coming up in the Bay Area. Activity seems to be fairly active in Northern California!
