Terra-Petra’s Northern California Construction Projects on the move…

September 10, 2010

Terra-Petra’s Inspection Supervisor, Daniel Valdez, was recently in Northern California conducting inspections of the methane soil gas mitigation system we designed for the new Twin Cities Police Headquarters building site (Larkspur and Corte Madera). Terra-Petra worked very closely with Glass Architects and EBA Engineering to develop the design of this system throughout 2009. We are pleased to see that the project is now into the construction phase and the Twin Cities Police force will finally get their well deserved state of the art police facility. The installation of the system is scheduled to continue through the next few weeks.

Another Northern California project is due to break ground very soon in the town of Ukiah (a gorgeous town about two hours north of San Francisco off the 101 Highway). The proposed structure was to be constructed on a site negatively impacted with Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Terra-Petra was contracted to design a soil gas vapor barrier system for this new commercial building. The design was completed several months ago and installation of the system is now slated for the end of September 2010.  It looks like Inspector Valdez will be spending a lot of time up north this month.
