Terra-Petra goes Prime Time – Playa Vista Bandshell Project Featured on Fox’s “Bones”

Playa Vista Central Park Bandshell

Our Playa Vista Central Park Bandshell Project was featured as the scene of the crime in Fox Television’s  “Bones” (11/4/10).  You can watch the episode – called “The Bones That Weren’t” — on Hulu:

From the Fox/Bones website:

A grisly discovery is made at the bottom of the Bandshell ramp, after someone (gasp) skateboards down it.

“After the skull of a promising young dancer is found lodged in concrete at a construction site, the team must first figure out what happened to the victim’s skeletal structure. After learning the victim quit ballet to pursue hip hop, Booth and Brennan uncover another layer of evidence that points them to a suspect who had a secret relationship with the victim. Meanwhile, when Hannah (guest star Winnick) is put on assignment in a dodgy part of town, her safety is jeopardized and her life is put in critical danger…”

Per our architect partner on the project, Po-Wen Shaw of Michael Maltzan Architecture, the first 2 minutes feature the Bandshell.  Then there is more action at the East-West Path / Horseshoe Courts on the property. Unfortunately, there are no zoomed-out/overall views of the park itself. While these particular “park shots” could have been of any park,   it’s still pretty neat to see the project “in use”  and funny (interesting?) to see how the Hollywood people re-appropriated things for their story-telling purposes!
